What We Do
Orphan AND Vulnerable children SUPPORT
The organization acknowledges that there is an increasing number of orphans as a result of parents dying from various causes including conflicts and disease. Most of these children do not have anyone to take care of them. The organization is in the process of constructing an orphanage home to house 200 children from very poor families and those that have lost their parents or have permanent disability and those considered as a burden to their parents.
Recently, Shadow of Charity Organization rescued a 13-year-old boy neglected by his parents due to physical disabilities. Several children with disability in the target region are normally abandoned due to extreme poverty.
The strategic Interventions in the Orphanage and Child Support Program:
- Support the orphanage with cloths and food
- Build Homes for Orphans and Put them in education program
- Support the children orphaned because of disease or conflict
- Develop and support community centers for orphans and vulnerable children and other
- underprivileged community members in pastoralist areas
- Support children that are abandoned because of disease or family breakdowns/divorce or separation
